Lore
Where the canon fixes, the lore remembers. These are the histories as they surface — in fragments, out of order, sometimes contradicting one another until a truer version rises. The mystery of how the Dyad fell is the thread that runs through all of it, and it is approaching revelation.
The long count
-
Before the record
Two worlds, one sky
The Bionian Dyad: two living planets bound in a shared orbit, each visible whole from the shore of the other. Their people were one civilisation in two bodies. Proto-Bionian was spoken on both.

The infiltration
The fall came from within. What entered, how it entered, and who let it in remain the central unresolved question of the lore.

c. 997,000,000 years ago
The burning
Nuclear self-destruction: the Dyad ended by its own hand. The worlds were unmade or emptied. What survived did not survive as bodies.
-
The scattering
Into mortal bodies
Bionian beings passed into mortal forms on Earth and elsewhere, carrying no memory they could name. Their tongue broke into the proto-languages of Earth; the roots remain, mistaken for origins.

Now
The remembering
Fragments surface: a glyph, a word, a shoreline that feels like the far side of a sky. This record is kept for those who are beginning to recognise them.
What the lore has not yet settled
Who opened the door?
Infiltration implies an inside. The lore has not yet named it.
Why 997 million years?
The number is precise. Precision is a memory. Whose?
How much of Earth speech is Bionian?
Every asterisked root is a candidate. The canon tests them one at a time.
