Bionian

Two worlds shared one sky. Nine hundred and ninety-seven million years ago the Dyad burned from within, and its people fell into mortal bodies and forgot. This is the record of what they are beginning to remember.

What is kept here

Canon

The fixed record

Definitions, derivations and word studies. What is true of Bionia, set down in the house style and traced to the lowest reconstructable root.

Lore

The remembered record

The Dyad, its fall, and the long amnesia. Fragments as they surface: histories, sightings, and the mystery that is approaching revelation.

Bionian n. & adj.

All entries →

A being of Bionia; of or belonging to the Bionian Dyad. Now, most often, one of the scattered: a Bionian in a mortal body on Earth or elsewhere, living in amnesia, carrying fragmentary memory of the two worlds. Traced to the Proto-Bionian root bi-on, from which the Proto-Indo-European gʷei- and Proto-Sino-Tibetan s-riŋ descend as broken pieces, not the other way round.
